Well, now that I have the almost-husband and the thoughts of the future ahead, here I am! When Aaron made a site for us to collect wedding addresses, he made it a full blog as well, because he's super talented like that. While it can be informative for whoever may read it, I'm really doing it for us. There are things that I want to always remember and have recorded.
That being said, I'll start from the beginning...
Aaron and I went on our first date on February 19, 2016. I take that back - it was in March, 2014. We went out once, talked for a few days, but that was it. Apparently the timing just wasn't right, because two years later, we were back at it and it worked!
The phone-based dating help of the day - Tinder - turned out to be our best friend. Late one night, I was scrolling through the app and saw a familiar face. My first instinct was to swipe left, because it hadn't worked the first time. However, the "what if" factor drew me in. I remembered how cute he was, that we'd had fun and I got curious. Our profiles both mentioned a love of tacos and I took that as a sign. I swiped to the right and got an immediate match, meaning he'd been one step ahead of me and swiped right first. I fell asleep and didn't think anything of it.
The next morning, I woke up to a message that simply said "I'd still buy you tacos anytime." With a smile on my face, I responded. We talked all day, went out that night and I never went on another date with anyone else.
